Tucked away in a steep valley, surrounded by impressive rocky outcrops, on the site of an abandoned Venda settlement, lies our small lodge which gets its name from the sacred Mashovhela rock pool, “Place where the drums beat”, which is were the name arrived of our DRUMBEAT Restaurant.
Beautiful year round weather allows you the opportunity to have a breakfast Buffet or a South African Dinner “braai” in the bush.
An individualized lunch is planned according to the day’s activities.
The memorable Restaurant and Boma dinners start as the sun sets and the drums call you to our African boma to join in a Venda dance to honor the chef for the creative and delicious meal to be served under the star filled sky.

A packed lunch on an activity must be booked a week in advance: R110.00 per person
We have the option of a toasted sandwich for a light lunch @ R60.00 per person
